Faculty Position Openings

The University of Rochester's Institute of Optics invites applications for a junior tenure-track faculty position. Openings exist for outstanding individuals with a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program and to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research fields of interest focus on optical physics and related cutting-edge areas in optics, photonics, and imaging.

Founded in 1929, The Institute of Optics is the first academic Optics program in the U.S. It offers B.S. degrees in Optics and in Optical Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Optics.  Additional information can be found at: http://www.optics.rochester.edu.
