Decay of High Momentum Wave Packet In the Infinite Square Well

This animation shows the probability density of a Gaussian-shaped wave packet excited with high momentum in the infinite square well potential.

Wave Packet Decay

The wave packet shape slowly decays curing the first five periods of classical periodic motion inside the potential well.
