Group Alumni Won National Recognition!

Our lab is strongly committed to student training. It has played a very active role in undergraduate training through research experience. Since the group's existence in 2002, there have been about a dozen of undergraduate students who have gained research experience in this lab. Two of them have won national recognition,

  1. Loren Cerami: one of the Nation's ten Churchill scholarship recipients (2002). (Click for press release in Rochester Review)
  2. Matt Pysher, a finalist for the American Physical Society's LeRoy Apker Award (2004). The LeRoy Apker Award is the nation's most prestigious award for undergraduate physicists. Each year, only two Apker Awards are presented by APS to recognize "outstanding achievement in physics" by an undergraduate student.
