Classical Orbits in Atoms?
In a classical world, an atom can be thought of as a point electron moving
in an orbit around the nucleus exactly as a planet orbits the sun. There
is a continuous range of energies available to this electron, so its orbit
can have any size, all the way from an orbit of infinitesimally small area
to one of infinite area.
